[Synopsis]
In 2016, Mr. Mori got worldwide attention when he embraced President Barack Obama, who became the first U.S. president to visit the A-bombed city of Hiroshima. The film depicts the life of Mr. Mori and follows him and his wife, Kayoko, as they retrace the path of the American POWs who were exposed to the atomic bomb and the places they have been associated with. The film also focuses on the existence of foreign priests who were themselves exposed to the atomic bombing and yet worked tirelessly in rescue efforts, as well as Kayoko's father, Akikazu Masumura, who helped establish a system to obtain A-bomb survivor certificates.
