[Synopsis]
A variety of patients are brought in by ambulance 24 hours everyday. A child crying out that there is a bug in his ear, a carpenter with a nail in his leg, a person who tried to commit suicide. Under the motto of "emergency care that never refuses," the hospital accepts everyone from the elderly with no relatives to those in need. However, due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the number of ambulances carrying critically ill patients reached a record high every day. Patients rejected by other hospitals are pouring in, and the beds are filling up fast....
Located 3 km north of the Port of Nagoya, the ER at Nagoya Ekisaikai Hospital is the largest in the prefecture, receiving 10,000 ambulances a year and receiving a wide variety of patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The hospital's motto is "no refusal, no emergency."However, due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the number of ambulances received has reached record numbers every day, and the number of beds is rapidly filling up. The film shows the situation of the ER, which is in an unprecedented predicament, as it is, and depicts the doctors who do their utmost on a daily basis, regarding their work as "the ultimate social service."
