[Synopsis]
28 years ago, a series of murders committed by a teenager shook the nation. After being spared the death penalty due to a psychiatric evaluation, the perpetrator has now completed his prison sentence and is living a normal life somewhere. Kenta lives with his younger brother and mother. They are constantly bothered by loud noises from their neighbors and the occasional sound of “Poca Pon.” Their daily lives are far from comfortable. With only their mother's income to support them, life is difficult, and Kenta studies hard in hopes of becoming someone who can help his mother. Though the family cares for one another, there is a subtle disconnect in their attitudes. The apartment complex janitor, Shunichi, takes an interest in the family and frequently looks out for the brothers. Kenta gradually becomes drawn to Shunichi as a person. However, Kenta learns that Shunichi was involved in a series of murders in the past. The path a teenager chooses is either that of an ordinary person or a murderer.
