[Synopsis]
QUON CHOCOLATE is located on a street corner in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture. Cacao from all over the world and the producer's face can be seen in the flavors. With its elegant sweetness and colorful designs, it quickly gained a large number of fans. The popularity of the brand has spread throughout Japan, and today, with 52 stores and laboratories across the country, it is a regular at glamorous department store events. Quon Chocolate is different from other brands. Representative Koji Natsume and his staff are as unique and colorful in their thinking as the chocolates they make. They have been creating a workplace where people with diverse backgrounds, including those with mental or physical disabilities, single parents, those who have never attended school, and sexual minorities, can work comfortably and earn well.
It all started in 2003, when 26-year-old Natsume started a small bakery with three staff members. Since then, Natsume has developed a number of businesses, but a meeting with top chocolatier Kazuo Noguchi was a major turning point. Chocolate can be made again by warming it up even if it fails," he said. Moreover, chocolate is a magical ingredient that adds value depending on your ideas. I saw the door to a dream that embraces a diverse range of people. Thus began the bumpy story of a new and gentle chocolate brand.
